he would consider us as a sole source if we could do the job within a reasonable cost

               and delivery schedule.

Tuesday afternoon the writer reviewed the Rapid Heat presentation material with

Mr. Dawley and made detail revisions to suit the audience.

Wednesday morning the presentation was made to the following persons.

                                            Mr. W. J. Kingscott
                                            Mr. R. A. Brauberger
                                            Mr. F. R. Winders
                                                 M. W. Dawley
                                            Mr. M. W. Dawley

                                            Mr. E. J. Rozmary E. J. Rozmary
                                            Mr. R. W. ShirkR. W. Shirk

Viewgraph slides had been prepared for the presentation and a wall PERT type

flow chart of the mainstream engineering activities.

After the presentation, Mr. Brauberger requested that we prepare more detail

on the Phase I activities which were proposed originally to be performed by Detroit, but

■that now were to be performed by Huntsville at Mr. Dawleys suggestion. He also suggested

that we limit our Phase I costs to around $15,000 since this would be relatively easy to
                                           -5.
               "sell" to Mr.TiGleason and Shank.

and felt that we had a much better chance of success starting off on a better engineering

basis than previous attempts. They felt that this presentation revised per suggestions

would be saleable with Mr. Gleason and funding could be obtained for Phase I activities.

The writer returned with Mr. Dawley and Mr. Shirk and formulated preliminary

plans for detail test activities for Phase I to reduce engineering time and costs. Upon

return to Huntsville the presentation wilHje^x^efined to reflect these changes, and those
