                                   The particular elastomer used in this part is a
                highly damped one which we feel has desirable damping charac­
                 teristics for your application. The elastomer's damping
                 characteristics as compared to those of natural rubber are bet­
                 ter by a factor of 5. In other words, under the same condi­
                 tions of disturbing frequency strain and temperature, the
                damping ratio C/Cc for the highly damped stock is approximately
                 .2, whereas for natural rubber it is .04.
