                   Capabilities of Proposed Facilities

As enumerated in the introduction, the facility proposed by this proposal

would be capable of performing a number of diversified services that would present

the opportunity to solicit# business from a wide marketing area.

This protion of the proposal will cover the services which is proposed

and will be within the capability.

                   Scientific and Engineering Research

It is proposed that the operator be equipped and staffed to provide
capability in the area of scientific and engineering research. Initial efforts

in this area will be devoted to those areas peculiar to the automotive racing
industry with the expectation that this would be expanded in the future to in

clude other commercial experimental fields. At the outset this capability would
include electronics; with emphasis upon miniaturization. Automotive control

system; Aero-dynamics; weights, loads and stress analysis; and other new areas of

scientific progress as they are developed.

Electronics and Electrical Assembly and Installation

This operation would be engaged, primarily in design, development and

installation of special and industrial electrical equipment into special racing

                   cars or for private individuals.

This capability would be organized to meet the exacting requirements for

yy commercial automotive electronic equipment and to provide a quality product

/ embodying maximum performance and reliability consistent with current progress

in this field. Fields of inteest and experience representated by this operation

would involve a wide range of commercial electronics systems to include com- \

munication, avionics, training devices, surveillance, and detection systems*
