2. Track testing using a magnetic tape recorder capable of recording

large number of analog signals as outlined in our present IPA

work scope. A Brush pen recorder would be used for on the

                                        spot playback and visual readout.

                                  3. Track testing using an on-board telemetry system transmitting to

a receiving station in the pit area with appropriate visual readout

                                        and recording systems.

                   3. Telemetry Demonstration System

The proposed PCM telemetry demonstration system vehicle was discussed with

Mr. N. March and Mr. R. Clements as well as Mr. Bruns. All are extremely interested

however, Mr. March who should have primary interest will not fund us to perform the

demonstration. Mr. Clements feels very strongly in favor of, but has no funds. Mr.

Bruns feels a telemetry system would benefit the Proving Ground most and should be

                   funded by Mr. March.

                   4. Critical Fastener Torque Verification Tool

The engineering model of the torque verification tool was hand carried to the

Dodge Assembly Plant and demonstrated to Mr. R. Mosher and A. Janisz using a dial

                   indicator type manual torque wrench.

They were favorably impressed with the accuracy and repeatability of the device

and wished to retain it for further testing. Mr. Mosher asked for cost estimates for

design and build-up of several engineering models using different concepts to reduce

weight, size and provide more flexibility with adequate durability.
