A Preliminary Engineering Study of three concepts (A, B, and
                   C) together with broad estimates of construction costs will
be required. It is recognized that some model testing may be
                   required for these determinations.
                   Wind Tunnel
                   Concept
This tunnel shall be built for engine cooling systems testing
only. It is proposed to drive an automobile onto a set of
dynamometer rolls and move a jet up to the front of the auto-
mob i1e. Air shall be discharged from the 5* high X 71 wi de
jet onto the front of the automobile
                                   CD H
This tunnel may be built to allow engine cooling system and/or
under hood and body temperature acquisition and/or aerodynamic
testing. We propose to install 3/8 scale models into a 7' high
X 10' wide X 15’ long test section. Air shall be discharged
over the automobile and/or model. six component balance with
associated equipment for measurement of aerodynamic forces may
be installed below the test section.
